The magic of colored balloons from the land of Iasi, a unique story in Romania
Articol scris de: Policolor
The adventure of hot air balloons and the fascination of colors came together for an epic weekend in the commune of Ion Neculce, near Iasi. Already in its third edition, the Balloon Magic festival gathered, between May 18 and 20, around 12,000 brave and dreamy visitors. Unique in Romania, the story of this air show made us recall with fondness, and with a touch of nostalgia, the immortal charm of childhood.
The main attraction of the festival was, without a doubt, the show of the 12 balloons conducted by pilots from the Romanian Aeroclub and from 5 other countries: Belgium, Great Britain, Poland, the Republic of Moldova and Slovakia. The launches were scheduled in the morning and in the evening, and the daredevils had the opportunity to experience a memorable sunset during the anchored flight.
The magic of childhood captured the entire audience, regardless of age, and play was the leitmotif of the festival. Whether they participated in pottery workshops or the exhibition of historic cars, the adults were charged with the positive vibes floating in the air. The youngest of the participants had free time to have fun on the inflatable slide, chasing colorful kites or at the theater performances.
Because where there is magic, there is also color, we were also inspired by the balloon show near Iasi and launched challenges to both adult and young participants, through a special Casabella activation. The dwarves have drawn colorful houses trying to bring to life the ideal home, in the workshop dedicated to them. And because freshly painted walls are indispensable in any home, the parents took part in a raffle where prizes consisting of Casabella materials for the renovation of the house were raffled off.
At the end, the memories remained. And thousands of photos with balloons in the air, magic and good cheer. If you didn’t make it to Magia Baloanelor this year, maybe you can make time in 2019 for a unique story in Romania. Of course, but how often do you have the opportunity to escape from the everyday gray and live life at the height, surrounded by thousands of colors?
